The best market in Portugal

After you’ve bought your Pastel de Belém at the best pastry shop in Portugal, you’re going to have to find somewhere to eat it! If you read that post, you’ll see in the photos that Pastéis de Belém has no seating. Therefore, you’re going to have to take your tasty treats to go.

Luckily, there’s a lot to see and do in the Belém area, including visiting Mosteiro dos Jerónimos,  a monestary, which  you can even see if you’re waiting in line for the Pastel de Belém at the famous Pastéis de Belém.

However, you have your Pastel de Belém and you can’t wait to eat it. But where can you go to enjoy it AND wander around? The answer: walk across the street to stroll around a fun market in the park.

On this day, there was a market with stalls selling many things that I would have loved to buy and bring back to the US.

As far as markets go, I think this was the best because of the various items for sale, the quality of the items, and the ideal location, which is in a park close to Pastéis de Belém.
